Lee Riddle
Hopkins County Attorney
Lee is a native and life-long resident of Hopkins County. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky where he received his undergraduate degree and Northern Kentucky University, Salmon P. Chase College of Law where he received his law degree.
From January 2007 to December 2022, Lee served as an assistant county attorney in the Hopkins County Attorney’s Office, during which he handled thousands of cases including but not limited to misdemeanors, (pre-indictment) felonies, juvenile, and guardianship hearings.
In November 2022, he was elected as the Hopkins County Attorney and sworn into the seat in January of 2023. In his role, Lee oversees the prosecution of criminal cases in Hopkins County District Court, the prosecution of dependency, abuse, and neglect cases in Hopkins County Family Court, the collection of child support in the county, the statutory responsibilities of assistance with guardianship, property tax collection, and victim’s advocacy and the legal advisory role to the Hopkins County Fiscal Court.
Lee is passionate about the community and has served as a leader and volunteer for various causes such as: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Hopkins County Regional Chamber of Commerce, Hopkins County Bar Association, Leadership Hopkins County, and Habitat for Humanity Pennyrile Region.
